Meetings        Their will be no meetings during the summer months.

The next meeting will on Thursday September 3rd. (3A-EMS2). A lot of members have not paid their 2009 dues yet; remember the address label on the newsletter tells your status, it should read 09/100 or 09/00 to be current.

 

Retirees Breakfast

The last breakfast of the season will be on Wed. June 3^rd (1E-EMS2).  Breakfasts will resume in October.

 

Barbeques

Our first BBQ of the summer will be on July 24, 2009  (1B-EMS1). Fried fish or Chicken  BBQ will start at 6:30, there are two more dinners on Friday's during the summer months. Mexican night is Sept. 25th Cajun night is Oct. 23rd. These BBQ'S are a lot of fun for those who attend. If you cant get a babysitter, bring the kids along as we can make hotdogs, etc...

 

Tuesday Golf

Tuesday golf has resumed and we are trying something different this year by rotating between Evergreen & Marquette Park. Afterward Rich Diver cooks lunch at the Brigade, remember you don’t have to golf to have lunch.

 

 

Golf Outing

Wednesday June 24^th (1B-EMS3)

was a great success 90 golfers came out on a  very hot day. Our next one is scheduled for September, Date to be announced

Raffle Tickets

The building fund raffle tickets are being sent out in this letter. To be a member in good standing you are expected to buy this ticket. Our goal is to have everyone buy a ticket so we don’t have to sell to outsiders. The money raised from this raffle pays for repairs, taxes & general maintenance of our building. The drawing will take place at the picnic, please return the stub & money to the Brigade ASAP!

 

Picnic

Picnic plans are in the works right now, mark your calendar for Sunday August 2^nd (1E-EMS2).

As usual we will have fun & games for adults & kids; pony rides, reptile man, DJ, etc.  Bean bag tournament $5.00 enter fee is $25.00 @ family. $15 @ single Bring your won refreshments. The br4igade will give away Pop, water and ice cream. Also you can not park on the grass in Kennedy Park! You must park on the street or in the lot.

 

 

Presidents Report

We are installing security cameras in the parking lot, behind the building and out in front.

This will make it safer for our members & their families who rent the hall.

I want to stress to all members please buy the raffle ticket & support our Brigade in all our functions.

 

Up Coming Events

The 30^th reunion “BOB” in Las Vegas February 12^th to the 16^th 2010 at the Golden Nugget Resort. Use: “Chicago Firefighter” for special rates if you call the Resort, more info to follow or call Rich Diver.
